Triolet

Triolet Triolet

Every Number Counts!

Triolet, pronounced 'tree-o-lay', arrived in the UK in November 2004. It's easy to learn the rules, and great fun to play, with the object to make three tiles in a row add up to 15.
  • Place 1, 2 or 3 tiles in a line, touching one or more existing tiles
  • Score points for each of the groups of 2 or 3 tiles you create
  • 2 tiles side by side must total 15 or less
  • 3 tiles side by side must total exactly 15
  • The run of 3 tiles is called a Trio and scores a bonus
  • Play all 3 tiles at once for a Triolet and a bigger bonus
  • Score Double or Triple points by landing on the special squares
  • Have another go by landing on the BIS square
  • The highest cumulative score is the winner!

About The Game

Triolet is an outstanding test of mental arithmetic - without appearing to be so.

Successful play demands constant calculation of varied scoring possibilities. The best tactics mean that players must look for opportunities in two dimensions, so there is a keen element of observation and strategy, as well as simple arithmetic.

The game helps develop skills in number bonds and manipulating numbers in a non threatening atmosphere; making numbers fun. Plus, the game is extremely simple to learn, but very varied in scoring opportunities, demanding constant attention and evaluation if you are to find the highest scores.
